Crusty No-Knead Dutch Oven Bread
📝 Ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour (about 400g)
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon instant yeast
1 1/2 cups warm water (about 360ml)
👩‍🍳 Instructions:
1️⃣ Mix the Dough
In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and yeast.
Add the warm water and mix with a spoon until a sticky dough forms.
No kneading is required.
2️⃣ First Rise
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a clean towel.
Let it rise at room temperature for 8–12 hours (overnight is best).
The dough should be bubbly and doubled in size.
3️⃣ Shape the Dough
Lightly flour your work surface.
Turn the dough out and fold it over itself 3–4 times.
Shape it into a ball.
Let it rest for 30 minutes.
4️⃣ Preheat
Place a Dutch oven (with lid) in the oven.
Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C) for at least 30 minutes.
5️⃣ Bake
Carefully place the dough into the hot Dutch oven.
Cover with the lid and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove the lid and bake another 10–15 minutes until golden brown.
6️⃣ Cool
Remove bread and let it cool completely before slicing.
You’ll get a crispy crust on the outside and soft, airy bread inside 🤍
