Fastest Puff Pastry Appetizer (Crispy & Cheesy!)
📝 Ingredients:
2 x 400g puff pastry sheets (store-bought, thawed if frozen)
3–4 teaspoons mustard (Dijon or regular)
150g hard mozzarella cheese, grated
1 egg (for egg wash)
1 teaspoon dried oregano or Italian seasoning (optional)
Sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional, for topping)
👩🍳 Instructions:
1️⃣ Preheat Oven
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
2️⃣ Prepare the Pastry
Roll out one sheet of puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
Spread mustard evenly over the surface (don’t go too thick).
Sprinkle grated mozzarella evenly on top.
Add oregano if using.
3️⃣ Layer
Place the second puff pastry sheet on top.
Gently press down to seal.
4️⃣ Cut & Shape
You can choose one of these easy shapes:
✔️ Twists:
Cut into strips (about 2 cm wide).
Twist each strip and place on baking tray.
✔️ Squares or Sticks:
Cut into small squares or long sticks for dipping.
5️⃣ Egg Wash
Beat the egg and brush over the top.
Sprinkle sesame or poppy seeds if desired.
6️⃣ Bake
Bake for 15–20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
