Best Steak Marinade

🥩 Best Steak Marinade “In Existence”
This bold, savory marinade is perfectly balanced with salty, sweet, tangy, and rich flavors. It tenderizes the steak while adding deep, mouthwatering taste—perfect for grilling, pan-searing, or broiling.
🧂 Ingredients
½ cup soy sauce
¼ cup olive oil
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons lemon juice (fresh is best)
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon black pepper
👨‍🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Make the Marinade
In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice.
Add brown sugar, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
Whisk until the sugar is dissolved and everything is well combined.
2️⃣ Prepare the Steak
Use about 1½ to 2 pounds of steak (ribeye, sirloin, New York strip, flank, or skirt steak work great).
Pat the steak dry with paper towels.
3️⃣ Marinate
Place steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish.
Pour the marinade over the steak, making sure it’s fully coated.
Seal and refrigerate:
Minimum: 2 hours
Best flavor: 6–8 hours
Maximum: 24 hours
(Tip: Turn the steak halfway through for even flavor.)
4️⃣ Cook the Steak
Remove steak from marinade and let it sit at room temperature for 20–30 minutes before cooking.
Discard used marinade.
Cook to your preferred doneness:
Grill (High Heat):
4–5 minutes per side (medium-rare)
5–6 minutes per side (medium)
Pan-Sear (Cast Iron):
Sear 3–4 minutes per side
Finish in a 400°F / 200°C oven if thick
5️⃣ Rest & Serve
Let steak rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
Slice against the grain and serve.
🔥 Pro Tips
Add fresh minced garlic for extra punch.
Add ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes for heat.
Great for kabobs too.
If using a tougher cut (like flank), don’t skip marinating time!
