🛒 Ingredients
12 oz fettuccine pasta
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
4–5 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup chicken broth (or pasta water)
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt and black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Optional: red pepper flakes & extra Parmesan for garnish
👩‍🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Cook fettuccine according to package directions until al dente.
Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
2️⃣ Season & Cook the Shrimp
Pat shrimp dry and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons butter with olive oil.
Add shrimp in a single layer and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside (do not overcook).
3️⃣ Make the Garlic Butter Cream Sauce
In the same skillet, add remaining butter.
Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in chicken broth and let simmer for 2–3 minutes.
Add heavy cream and Italian seasoning.
Simmer gently for 4–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
Stir in Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy.
4️⃣ Combine Everything
Add cooked fettuccine to the sauce and toss to coat.
If sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water.
Return shrimp to the skillet and toss gently.
Simmer together for 1–2 minutes.
🍽️ Serve
