World’s Best Steak Marinade
Bold, savory, slightly sweet, and perfectly balanced — this marinade makes steaks incredibly juicy and flavorful whether you grill, pan-sear, or broil them.
🛒 Ingredients
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp lemon juice (fresh is best)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp black pepper
👩‍🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Mix the Marinade
In a medium bowl, whisk together:
Soy sauce
Olive oil
Worcestershire sauce
Lemon juice
Garlic
Brown sugar
Black pepper
Whisk until sugar dissolves.
2️⃣ Marinate the Steak
Place steak (ribeye, sirloin, flank, or strip) in a zip-top bag or shallow dish.
Pour marinade over steak, making sure it’s fully coated.
Seal and refrigerate:
At least 2 hours
Best: 6–8 hours
Do not exceed 24 hours (acid can affect texture)
Turn steak halfway through if possible.
3️⃣ Cook
Remove steak from marinade and let sit at room temperature for 20–30 minutes before cooking.
Discard used marinade.
Grill or sear to desired doneness:
Medium-rare: 130–135°F (54–57°C)
Medium: 140–145°F (60–63°C)
Let rest 5–10 minutes before slicing.
