Keto Beef Taco Pie (Low-Carb & Family Favorite)

🛒 Ingredients
For the beef layer:
1 lb (450g) ground beef
1/2 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp taco seasoning (sugar-free)
1/4 cup water
Salt & pepper to taste
For the creamy topping:
3 large eggs
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Optional toppings (after baking):
Diced avocado
Sour cream
Chopped cilantro
Jalapeños
Salsa (low carb)
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat Oven
Preheat to 375°F (190°C).
Lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish or baking dish.
2️⃣ Cook the Beef
In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until browned.
Drain excess grease if needed.
Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
Stir in taco seasoning and water.
Simmer 3–4 minutes until thickened.
3️⃣ Layer the Pie
Spread the beef mixture evenly in the prepared dish.
4️⃣ Make the Custard Topping
In a bowl, whisk eggs, heavy cream, and sour cream until smooth.
Stir in half of the shredded cheese.
5️⃣ Assemble
Pour the egg mixture over the beef.
Sprinkle remaining cheese evenly on top.
6️⃣ Bake
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until center is set and top is golden.
7️⃣ Rest & Serve
Let cool 5–10 minutes before slicing.
