Million Dollar Spaghetti Casserole
Creamy, cheesy, and loaded with rich meat sauce — pure comfort food!
🧾 Ingredients
1 lb spaghetti
1 lb ground beef (or half beef, half Italian sausage)
1 small onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt & black pepper to taste
🧀 Creamy Layer:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup ricotta cheese (or cottage cheese)
½ cup sour cream
🧀 Topping:
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons butter, sliced thin
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Cook the Pasta
Boil spaghetti in salted water until al dente.
Drain and set aside.
2️⃣ Make the Meat Sauce
In a large skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned.
Add garlic and cook 1 minute more.
Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Simmer 5–10 minutes.
3️⃣ Make the Creamy Layer
In a bowl, mix cream cheese, ricotta, and sour cream until smooth.
4️⃣ Assemble the Casserole
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Spread half the cooked spaghetti in the bottom.
Dot with half the butter slices.
Spread the creamy cheese mixture evenly over pasta.
Add remaining spaghetti and butter slices.
Pour meat sauce evenly on top.
Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan over everything.
5️⃣ Bake
Cover with foil and bake 25 minutes.
Remove foil and bake another 10–15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Let rest 10 minutes before serving.
