Ingredients
1½ lbs sirloin steak or ribeye, cut into bite-sized cubes
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons butter
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon coarse sea salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional, for heat)
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the steak
Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels to help them sear properly.
Season the meat
In a bowl, toss the steak cubes with sea salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
Heat the skillet
Heat olive oil in a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until very hot.
Sear the steak
Add the steak cubes in a single layer. Cook for 2–3 minutes without moving them so they develop a golden crust. Turn and cook another 2 minutes until browned.
Add butter and garlic
Reduce heat to medium, add butter and minced garlic. Stir and spoon the melted garlic butter over the steak bites for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
Finish and garnish
Sprinkle chili flakes (if using), fresh parsley, and a squeeze of lemon juice. Toss gently to coat.
Serve immediately
Best served hot straight from the skillet.
Serving Suggestions
