🍫 Chocolate Lava Brownie


A rich, fudgy brownie with a gooey molten chocolate center—perfect for chocolate lovers!
🧾 Ingredients (Serves 6–8)
200 g (7 oz) dark chocolate (good quality)
150 g (2/3 cup) unsalted butter
1 cup (200 g) sugar
3 large eggs
2 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup (65 g) all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup (90 g) chocolate chips or chunks (for extra molten center)
👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prep
    Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F)
    Grease ramekins or a muffin tin and lightly dust with cocoa powder or flour
  2. Melt Chocolate & Butter
    In a heatproof bowl, melt chocolate and butter together (microwave in 30-sec bursts or over a double boiler)
    Stir until smooth and let cool slightly
  3. Mix Wet Ingredients
    In another bowl, whisk:
    sugar
    eggs + egg yolks
    vanilla
    Whisk until thick and slightly pale
  4. Combine
    Slowly add melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture
    Stir gently until combined
  5. Add Dry Ingredients
    Fold in:
    flour
    salt
    Do NOT overmix
  6. Fill & Add Center
    Pour batter into prepared molds (about 3/4 full)
    Add a few chocolate chunks in the center for extra lava effect
  7. Bake
    Bake for 10–12 minutes
    Edges should be set
    Center should still be soft and slightly jiggly
  8. Serve
    Let cool for 1–2 minutes
    Carefully invert onto plates
    Serve warm!
