🍫 Chocolate Lava Brownie
A rich, fudgy brownie with a gooey molten chocolate center—perfect for chocolate lovers!
🧾 Ingredients (Serves 6–8)
200 g (7 oz) dark chocolate (good quality)
150 g (2/3 cup) unsalted butter
1 cup (200 g) sugar
3 large eggs
2 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup (65 g) all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup (90 g) chocolate chips or chunks (for extra molten center)
👩🍳 Instructions
- Prep
Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F)
Grease ramekins or a muffin tin and lightly dust with cocoa powder or flour - Melt Chocolate & Butter
In a heatproof bowl, melt chocolate and butter together (microwave in 30-sec bursts or over a double boiler)
Stir until smooth and let cool slightly - Mix Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk:
sugar
eggs + egg yolks
vanilla
Whisk until thick and slightly pale - Combine
Slowly add melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture
Stir gently until combined - Add Dry Ingredients
Fold in:
flour
salt
Do NOT overmix - Fill & Add Center
Pour batter into prepared molds (about 3/4 full)
Add a few chocolate chunks in the center for extra lava effect - Bake
Bake for 10–12 minutes
Edges should be set
Center should still be soft and slightly jiggly - Serve
Let cool for 1–2 minutes
Carefully invert onto plates
Serve warm!
