🍝 Spaghetti with Bacon, Smoked Sausage & Veggie Medley
A hearty, smoky, and flavor-packed pasta dish loaded with crispy bacon, juicy sausage, and colorful vegetables—perfect for a satisfying family meal.
🧾 Ingredients (Serves 4–6)
400 g (14 oz) spaghetti
150 g (5 oz) bacon, chopped
200 g (7 oz) smoked sausage, sliced
1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
1 small onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 zucchini, sliced
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1/2 cup corn (fresh or frozen)
1 cup spinach (optional)
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp black pepper
Salt, to taste
1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup pasta water (reserved)
👩🍳 Instructions
- Cook the Pasta
Boil spaghetti in salted water according to package instructions
Reserve 1/4 cup pasta water, then drain and set aside - Cook Bacon & Sausage
In a large skillet over medium heat:
Cook bacon until crispy
Remove and set aside
In the same pan, cook smoked sausage until browned - Sauté Vegetables
Add onion and garlic to the pan
Cook until fragrant (about 2 minutes)
Add bell pepper, zucchini, and corn
Sauté for 4–5 minutes until slightly tender - Combine Everything
Return bacon to the pan
Add cherry tomatoes and spinach
Stir in paprika, black pepper, chili flakes, and salt - Add Pasta
Toss in cooked spaghetti
Pour in reserved pasta water
Mix well until everything is coated and heated through - Finish
Sprinkle Parmesan cheese
Toss and serve hot
