3 Ingredient Melt in Your Mouth Cookies

These cookies are buttery, crumbly, and incredibly easy to make with just three simple ingredients!

Ingredients:

  • Butter: 1 cup (softened, unsalted)
  • Powdered sugar: ½ cup
  • All-purpose flour: 2 cups

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Dough

  • Cream the Butter and Sugar:
In a large mixing bowl, use a hand mixer or stand mixer to beat the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).
  • Add the Flour:
Gradually sift in the flour while mixing on low speed. Once combined, switch to a spatula or your hands to bring the dough together. The dough will be soft and pliable.

2. Shape the Cookies

  • Roll the dough into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter). Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Flatten slightly with a fork, the bottom of a glass, or your fingers for a decorative touch.

3. Bake

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Bake the cookies for 12–15 minutes, or until the edges are just lightly golden. Be careful not to overbake, as these cookies should remain soft and tender.

4. Cool and Serve

  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Optional: Dust with extra powdered sugar for a snowy finish.

Tips:

  • Flavor Variations:
    • Add a teaspoon of vanilla extract or almond extract for extra flavor.
    • Mix in finely grated lemon or orange zest for a citrus twist.
  • Decoration Ideas:
    • Drizzle with melted chocolate.
    • Top with a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar before baking.

Enjoy these melt-in-your-mouth cookies with a cup of tea or coffee! 🥰🍪
