5 Minute Chocolate Biscuit Bars


Ingredients:

  • Digestive biscuits or tea biscuits: 250g (about 2 cups), broken into small pieces
  • Cocoa powder: 3 tablespoons
  • Sweetened condensed milk: 1 cup (or substitute with regular milk + 3 tablespoons sugar)
  • Butter: 2 tablespoons (optional, for richness)
  • Dark or milk chocolate: 200g (melted, for coating)
  • Chopped nuts: ½ cup (optional, for added crunch)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Base

  1. Break the biscuits into small, bite-sized pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.

2. Make the Chocolate Mixture

  1. In a small saucepan, heat the condensed milk (or regular milk with sugar) and butter over low heat until smooth and slightly warm.
  2. Stir in the cocoa powder until fully combined, creating a glossy chocolate sauce.

3. Combine

  1. Pour the chocolate mixture over the crushed biscuits. Mix well until all the biscuit pieces are coated.

4. Shape the Mixture

  1. Transfer the mixture onto a sheet of parchment paper or plastic wrap. Shape it into a log or press it into a rectangular container for easy slicing. Wrap it tightly and chill in the refrigerator for 1–2 hours until firm.

5. Coat with Chocolate

  1. Melt the dark or milk chocolate in a microwave or double boiler.
  2. Dip the chilled biscuit bars into the melted chocolate, ensuring they are fully coated. Sprinkle with chopped nuts for extra texture, if desired.

6. Set and Serve

  1. Place the coated bars on a tray lined with parchment paper and let the chocolate set in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  2. Slice into individual pieces and enjoy!

Tips:

  • No condensed milk? Use cream mixed with sugar or honey as a substitute.
