Lemon Garlic Butter Chicken with Creamy Parmesan Pasta
🛒 Ingredients
For the Chicken:
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Salt and black pepper (to taste)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
For the Creamy Parmesan Pasta:
8 oz (225 g) pasta (fettuccine, linguine, or penne)
1 tablespoon butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup chicken broth
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and black pepper (to taste)
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
Extra Parmesan and parsley for garnish
👩‍🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
Drain and set aside.
2️⃣ Prepare the Chicken
Season both sides of the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add chicken and cook for 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temp 165°F / 75°C).
Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
3️⃣ Make the Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce
In the same skillet, melt butter.
Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in fresh lemon juice and scrape up any browned bits from the pan.
Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top.
Simmer for 2–3 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley.
4️⃣ Make the Creamy Parmesan Sauce
In a separate pan (or after removing chicken), melt butter over medium heat.
Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.
Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Add cooked pasta and toss until well coated.
🍽️ To Serve
Plate the creamy Parmesan pasta and top with sliced lemon garlic butter chicken.
Spoon extra sauce over the chicken and garnish with more Parmesan and parsley.
✨ Optional Add-Ins
Add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes to the pasta.
Sprinkle red pepper flakes for heat.
Use shrimp instead of chicken for a seafood version.
