Christmas Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

3/4 cup granulated sugar

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

2 large eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup red and green holiday sprinkles

Directions:

Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.

Add Chocolate Chips and Sprinkles: Fold in chocolate chips and holiday sprinkles.

Form Cookies: Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.

Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are golden. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Optional Tips:

Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes before baking to reduce spreading.

For chewier cookies, slightly increase brown sugar and reduce bake time by 1-2 minutes.
