Ingredients
200 g of hard dough cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, gouda), cut into cubes
200g soft cheese (cream cheese, goat cheese or ricotta)
1/2 cup of hat
1/4 cup grated parmesan
1 œuf
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Oil for frying
Instructions
Preparing the prank:
In a bowl, mix soft dough cheese (cream cheese, goat cheese or ricotta) with parmesan, salt, pepper and chopped parsley.
Take out some mixture and coat a cube of hard dough cheese to form a small dumpling. Repeat the operation to form several balls.
Dumplings pan:
In a bowl, beat the egg.
In another bowl, place your hat.
Dip each dumpling in the beaten egg, then roll in the bonnet until well coated.
Repeat the operation to achieve thicker, crispier bread if desired.
Cooking:
In a frying pan, heat frying oil over medium heat.
Fry the dumplings in small batches for about 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
Drain them on absorbent paper to remove excess oil.
Service :
Serve hot stuffed cheese balls with marinara sauce, pesto or honey mustard sauce for dipping.
