Easy Rich Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream
🥛 Ingredients:
2 cups (480 ml) heavy whipping cream (cold)
1 can (14 oz / 397 g) sweetened condensed milk
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
Pinch of salt (optional, enhances flavor)
🥣 Instructions:
Whip the Cream
In a large bowl, beat the cold heavy whipping cream with a hand mixer until stiff peaks form (about 3–4 minutes).
Tip: Don’t overmix or it will turn grainy.
Mix the Base
In another bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir well.
Fold Together
Gently fold the whipped cream into the condensed milk mixture using a spatula.
Do this slowly to keep the mixture light and fluffy.
Freeze
Pour into a loaf pan or freezer-safe container.
Cover tightly with plastic wrap or a lid.
Freeze Time
Freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight until firm.
🍫 Optional Mix-Ins (Add before freezing):
Chocolate chips
Crushed cookies
Caramel swirl
Fresh strawberries
Chopped nuts
Cocoa powder (for chocolate version – add 2 tablespoons)
🍓 Chocolate Version:
Add:
2–3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
OR 100 g melted cooled chocolate
Mix into the condensed milk before folding in the whipped cream.
