Christmas Trifle

Ingredients:

  1. 1 pound cake, cut into cubes
  2. 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  3. 2 cups vanilla pudding
  4. 2 cups whipped cream
  5. 1 cup sherry or fruit juice (optional)
  6. 1/2 cup chopped nuts (like almonds or walnuts)
  7. Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Directions:

  1. Start by placing half of the pound cake cubes at the bottom of a large glass bowl. If you like, drizzle some sherry or fruit juice over the cake for extra flavor.
  2. Next, layer half of the mixed berries on top of the cake cubes.
  3. Spoon half of the vanilla pudding over the berries, spreading it out evenly.
  4. Add a layer of whipped cream on top of the pudding, smoothing it out gently.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining pound cake, berries, pudding, and whipped cream.
  6. Finally, sprinkle the chopped nuts on top for a nice crunch and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
