Colorful Sparkle Candy Apple

Ingredients:

6 medium apples (Granny Smith, Gala, or Fuji are ideal)
2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup water
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Food coloring in multiple colors (red, blue, green, pink)

Edible glitter or luster dust for extra sparkle
Directions:

Wash and thoroughly dry apples. Insert a wooden stick into each apple’s stem end.
In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water over medium heat. Stir gently until the sugar is dissolved.
Attach a candy thermometer to the pan, bringing the mixture to a boil without stirring further. Let it reach 300°F (hard-crack stage).
Remove from heat and add a few drops of food coloring and vanilla extract (if using), swirling for an even color.
Carefully dip each apple in the syrup, rotating for a complete coat, then let the excess drip off.
Place each apple on a parchment-lined tray and quickly sprinkle with edible glitter while the coating is still sticky.
Allow the apples to cool and harden for 10–15 minutes before serving.
