Recipe
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup oyster sauce
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water (optional, for thickening)
Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional, for a touch of heat)
Instructions:
Mix Ingredients:
In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, sesame oil, grated ginger, and minced garlic. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and all ingredients are well blended.
Thicken Sauce (Optional):
If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix the cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Add this slurry to the sauce mixture and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
Use or Store:
Pour the sauce over cooked noodles and stir to coat evenly. Alternatively, use as a marinade or dipping sauce.
If storing, transfer the sauce to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 1 week.
