Bay Leaf and Clove Herbal Tea
Ingredients (1–2 servings)
2 dried bay leaves (or 1 fresh bay leaf)
3–5 whole cloves
2 cups (480 ml) water
Optional additions (choose any):
1 tsp honey or maple syrup
A slice of fresh ginger
A small cinnamon stick
Lemon peel or a squeeze of lemon juice
Instructions
Bring water to a boil
In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a gentle boil.
Add herbs
Add bay leaves and cloves (plus ginger or cinnamon, if using).
Simmer
Reduce heat and simmer 10–15 minutes, uncovered.
The longer it simmers, the stronger and more aromatic the tea.
Strain
Remove from heat and strain into a cup.
Sweeten & serve
Add honey or lemon if desired.
Drink warm.
