Slow Cooker Pulled Pork Roast
Tender, juicy, and perfect for slicing or shredding.
🛒 Ingredients
3–4 lb pork shoulder (pork butt)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup beef or chicken broth
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Dry Rub
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Pork
Pat pork dry with paper towels.
Mix all dry rub ingredients together.
Rub seasoning generously all over the pork.
2️⃣ Sear (For Best Flavor)
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear pork on all sides (about 2–3 minutes per side) until browned.
3️⃣ Slow Cook
Place pork in slow cooker.
Add broth, vinegar, and Worcestershire around (not on top).
Cook:
Low: 8–10 hours
High: 5–6 hours
Meat should be fork-tender.
4️⃣ Rest & Slice
Remove pork and let rest 10–15 minutes.
Slice thick like in the photo or shred with forks.
Spoon some cooking juices over the top.
