Amish Custard (Old-Fashioned Baked Custard)
Simple, creamy, and comforting — a traditional dessert often found in Amish kitchens across Pennsylvania Dutch Country. Smooth vanilla custard with a delicate nutmeg top.
🧾 Ingredients
4 large eggs
¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
3 cups (720ml) whole milk (warm, not boiling)

1️⃣ Preheat Oven
Preheat to 325°F (165°C).

Pour mixture into prepared dish (or divide into ramekins).
Sprinkle a light dusting of nutmeg on top.
