Slow Cooker Amish Country Tomato Beef Casserole
Hearty ground beef, tender pasta, and a rich tomato sauce slow-cooked to cozy perfection — simple, filling, and family-approved.
🛒 Ingredients
1½ lbs ground beef
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
1 (14–15 oz) can diced tomatoes (undrained)
1 (10.5 oz) can tomato soup
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni (or egg noodles)
1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Brown the Beef
In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned.
Drain excess grease.
Add onion and garlic; cook 2–3 minutes until softened.
2️⃣ Add to Slow Cooker
Transfer beef mixture to slow cooker.
Stir in:
Crushed tomatoes
Diced tomatoes
Tomato soup
Salt, pepper
Basil & oregano
Worcestershire (if using)
Mix well.
3️⃣ Slow Cook
Cook on LOW 6–7 hours
or HIGH 3–4 hours.
4️⃣ Add Pasta
Stir in uncooked macaroni.
Cover and cook on HIGH 25–35 minutes, until pasta is tender.
(Stir once halfway if possible.)
5️⃣ Add Cheese
Sprinkle shredded cheddar over the top.
Cover 5–10 minutes until melted.
