Slow Cooker 5-Ingredient Chicken & Potatoes
Simple, hearty, and perfect for busy days — just toss everything in and let the slow cooker do the work!
🛒 Ingredients (5 Main Ingredients)
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
1½ lbs (700 g) baby potatoes, halved
1 packet dry ranch seasoning mix
1/2 cup chicken broth
2 tbsp butter (sliced)
(Salt & pepper optional, not counted in the 5 ingredients.)
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Prep the Slow Cooker
Lightly grease the slow cooker or spray with nonstick spray.
2️⃣ Layer the Potatoes
Place halved baby potatoes on the bottom.
3️⃣ Add the Chicken
Lay chicken on top of the potatoes. Season lightly with salt and pepper if desired.
4️⃣ Season & Add Liquid
Sprinkle the ranch seasoning evenly over everything.
Pour chicken broth around (not directly washing off seasoning).
Place butter slices on top.
5️⃣ Cook
LOW: 6–7 hours
or
HIGH: 3–4 hours
Chicken is done when internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and potatoes are fork-tender.
