🍖 3-Ingredient Sweet & Tender Crockpot Meat
Introduction
This incredibly simple dinner uses only three ingredients but delivers tender, juicy meat with a sweet and savory flavor. Slow cooking allows the meat to become melt-in-your-mouth soft while absorbing the rich taste of Barbecue sauce and Honey.
Ingredients
2 lbs Chicken breast or Pork loin
1 cup Barbecue sauce
½ cup Honey
(That’s it—only three ingredients!)
Instructions
- Prepare the Slow Cooker
Place the chicken or pork in the bottom of a slow cooker. - Add the Sauce
Pour the barbecue sauce and honey over the meat. - Cook
Cover and cook:
Low: 6–7 hours
High: 3–4 hours - Shred or Slice
Once the meat is tender, shred it with two forks or slice it into pieces. - Serve
Serve the sweet, tender meat over rice, mashed potatoes, or in sandwiches.
Optional Additions
1 teaspoon Garlic powder
½ teaspoon Paprika
Sliced onions for extra flavor
Tips for Best Results
Use a good quality barbecue sauce for the best flavor.
For thicker sauce, simmer the cooking liquid in a pan for a few minutes.
