Introduction
Orange Crumb and Cream Terrine is a refreshing layered dessert with creamy filling, sweet citrus flavor, and a soft crumb base. Made with juicy Orange and fluffy Whipped cream, this chilled dessert is light, elegant, and perfect for warm days or special occasions.
Ingredients
For the Crumb Base
2 cups crushed Graham cracker crumbs or digestive biscuits
½ cup Butter, melted
2 tablespoons Sugar
For the Orange Cream Layer
1 cup fresh Orange juice
Zest of 1 Orange
1 cup Heavy cream
½ cup Cream cheese, softened
½ cup **Powdered sugar>
1 teaspoon **Vanilla extract>
1 tablespoon **Gelatin> (optional for firmer texture)
Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crumb Base
    In a bowl, mix crushed graham crackers, melted butter, and sugar until combined.
  2. Form the Base
    Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom of a loaf pan lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate for 20 minutes to set.
  3. Prepare the Cream Filling
    In a bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Add orange juice, orange zest, and vanilla extract and mix well.
  4. Whip the Cream
    In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Fold the whipped cream gently into the orange mixture.
    (If using gelatin, dissolve it in warm orange juice first and mix into the cream.)
  5. Assemble the Terrine
    Pour the orange cream mixture over the chilled crumb base and smooth the top.
  6. Chill
    Refrigerate for 4–6 hours or until fully set.
  7. Serve
    Lift the dessert from the pan using parchment paper, slice into pieces, and serve chilled.
