🥔 Creamy Buttery Mashed Potatoes

🛒 Ingredients
2 lbs (900g) potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet)
4 tbsp butter (more if you like 😋)
1/2 cup warm milk (or heavy cream for extra richness)
1/4 cup sour cream (optional, for creaminess)
3–4 cloves garlic (optional)
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
👩🍳 Instructions
- Prep potatoes
Peel and cut potatoes into chunks.
Place in a pot and cover with cold salted water. - Cook
Bring to a boil and cook for 15–20 minutes, until fork-tender.
Drain well. - Mash
Return potatoes to the pot.
Mash using a potato masher (like in your image) until smooth. - Make it creamy
Add butter and let it melt.
Pour in warm milk gradually while mashing.
Stir in sour cream (if using). - Season
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Mix until fluffy and smooth.
