🛒 Ingredients
2 1/4 cups (280g) all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup (170g) unsalted butter, melted
3/4 cup (150g) brown sugar
1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
1 large egg + 1 egg yolk
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups (250g) chocolate chips
👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prep
    Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
    Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Mix dry ingredients
    In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Mix wet ingredients
    In another bowl, whisk melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
    Add egg, extra yolk, and vanilla. Mix well.
  4. Combine
    Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture.
    Mix until just combined (don’t overmix).
    Fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Shape
    Scoop dough into balls (about 2 tbsp each).
    Place on baking sheet, leaving space between cookies.
  6. Bake
    Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are golden and centers look slightly soft.
  7. Cool
    Let cookies cool on the tray for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack.
