Fried Bologna Sandwiches
🧾 Ingredients
4 slices bologna
2 sandwich rolls or 4 slices bread
2 tbsp butter (or mayo for spreading)
2 slices cheese (American or cheddar)
1/2 onion, sliced (optional)
Mustard or mayonnaise (to taste)
👩‍🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Prep the Bologna
Make a small cut (X shape) in the center of each slice—this keeps it from curling while frying.
2️⃣ Fry the Bologna
Heat a skillet over medium heat.
Add a little butter.
Fry bologna slices for 2–3 minutes per side until edges are crispy and slightly caramelized.
3️⃣ Cook Onions (Optional)
In the same pan, sauté sliced onions until soft and golden.
4️⃣ Toast the Bread
Spread butter or mayo on bread/rolls.
Toast in the skillet until golden brown.
5️⃣ Assemble
Place fried bologna on the bread.
Add cheese on top while hot so it melts.
Add onions (if using) and your favorite sauce (mustard or mayo).
6️⃣ Serve
Close the sandwich and serve hot 😍
