🧾 Ingredients
🍰 Cake Layer
1 store-bought or homemade sponge cake (or pound cake), cubed
🍮 Cream Layer
2 cups (480 ml) heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup (60 g) powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
🍮 Custard Layer
2 cups (480 ml) prepared vanilla custard (store-bought or homemade)
🍓 Fruit Layer
2 cups mixed fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries, bananas, etc.)
🍓 Optional Extras
1/2 cup fruit jam or jelly
Shaved chocolate or chocolate chips
Crushed cookies or nuts

  1. Prepare the cream
    Beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until soft peaks form
  2. Assemble layers
    In a large glass bowl or trifle dish:
    Cake layer – add cake cubes
    Optional jam – spread lightly for extra flavor
    Custard layer – spoon evenly
    Fruit layer – add fresh fruit
    Whipped cream layer
    Repeat layers until the dish is filled
  3. Chill
    Refrigerate for 2–4 hours (or overnight) to let flavors blend
  4. Garnish
    Top with extra fruit, whipped cream, or chocolate shavings
    ✨ Tips
    Use slightly stale cake—it absorbs flavors better
    Don’t overload with liquid or it may get soggy
    Chill well for best texture
