Easy Breakfast Cheese Danish
Serves: 8–10
🧾 Ingredients
2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
2 (8 oz / 225 g each) packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
1 egg white (for brushing)
✨ Optional Glaze
1/2 cup (60 g) powdered sugar
1–2 tbsp milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
👩🍳 Instructions
- Preheat & prep
Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F)
Grease or line a 9×13 inch (23×33 cm) baking dish - Make the filling
In a bowl, beat together:
cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and 1 whole egg
Mix until smooth and creamy - Create the base
Unroll 1 can of crescent dough
Press into the bottom of the dish
Seal seams to form a solid layer - Add filling
Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough - Top layer
Unroll second can of dough
Place on top and gently stretch to cover
Seal seams - Brush & bake
Brush top with egg white
Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown - Cool & glaze
Let cool slightly
Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over top
✨ Tips
Chill before cutting for cleaner slices
Add fruit filling (blueberry, cherry) for variation 🍒
Dust with powdered sugar for a simple finish
