Easy Breakfast Cheese Danish
Serves: 8–10
🧾 Ingredients
2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
2 (8 oz / 225 g each) packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
1 egg white (for brushing)
✨ Optional Glaze
1/2 cup (60 g) powdered sugar
1–2 tbsp milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat & prep
    Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F)
    Grease or line a 9×13 inch (23×33 cm) baking dish
  2. Make the filling
    In a bowl, beat together:
    cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and 1 whole egg
    Mix until smooth and creamy
  3. Create the base
    Unroll 1 can of crescent dough
    Press into the bottom of the dish
    Seal seams to form a solid layer
  4. Add filling
    Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough
  5. Top layer
    Unroll second can of dough
    Place on top and gently stretch to cover
    Seal seams
  6. Brush & bake
    Brush top with egg white
    Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown
  7. Cool & glaze
    Let cool slightly
    Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over top
    ✨ Tips
    Chill before cutting for cleaner slices
    Add fruit filling (blueberry, cherry) for variation 🍒
    Dust with powdered sugar for a simple finish
