Meatball Bites
🧾 Ingredients:
🍖 Meatballs:
500 g (1 lb) ground beef (or beef + lamb mix)
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup milk
1 egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese (optional)
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning
🍅 Sauce (optional but recommended):
2 cups marinara or tomato sauce
1 tbsp olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp dried basil or oregano
👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Prep the mixture
    In a small bowl, combine breadcrumbs and milk → let soak 2–3 minutes
    In a large bowl, mix:
    Ground meat
    Soaked breadcrumbs
    Egg
    Garlic & onion
    Parmesan, parsley
    All spices
    Mix gently until just combined
  2. Shape the meatballs
    Roll into small bite-sized balls (about 1–1.5 inches / 2–3 cm)
  3. Cook
    Option A – Bake (easier):
    Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F)
    Place on lined tray
    Bake 15–18 minutes until cooked through
    Option B – Pan fry (more flavor):
    Heat olive oil in a pan
    Cook meatballs, turning to brown all sides (8–10 minutes)
  4. Make the sauce (optional)
    Heat olive oil, sauté garlic
    Add tomato sauce and herbs
    Simmer 5–10 minutes
    Add cooked meatballs and toss
    ✨ Tips:
    Don’t overmix → keeps them tender
    Add a little grated onion for extra juiciness
    Use a small scoop for evenly sized bites
    For cheesy bites: stuff with mozzarella cubes 🧀
