Creamy Ham & Tomato Pasta in 15 Minutes
🧾 Ingredients
160 g pasta
1/2 onion, finely chopped
1/2 bell pepper, sliced or diced
1 clove garlic, minced
100 g ham, diced or cut into strips
150 g tomatoes, chopped
200 ml cream
1–2 tbsp olive oil
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
Optional: grated parmesan and chopped parsley for serving 🧀🌿
👩🍳 Instructions
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to the package directions until al dente. Reserve about 1/4 cup of pasta water, then drain.
While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
Add the chopped onion and bell pepper. Cook for 2–3 minutes until softened.
Stir in the garlic and diced ham. Cook for another 1–2 minutes until fragrant and lightly golden.
Add the chopped tomatoes and cook for 2–3 minutes until they begin to soften.
Pour in the cream, season with salt and black pepper, and let the sauce simmer gently for 2–3 minutes.
Add the cooked pasta to the pan and toss everything together. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of the reserved pasta water.
Serve immediately with parmesan and parsley if desired 😋
