Garlic Herb Pull-Apart Bread
🧾 Ingredients
🍞 Dough:
3 cups (375 g) all-purpose flour
2 1/4 tsp (1 packet) instant yeast
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup (240 ml) warm milk
2 tbsp butter, melted
1 egg
🧄 Garlic Herb Butter:
1/2 cup (115 g) butter, melted
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 tbsp dried)
1 tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp salt
🧀 Optional:
1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Make the dough
    In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast → let sit 5 minutes
    Add egg, melted butter, salt, and flour
    Knead for 8–10 minutes until soft and elastic
    Cover and let rise 1 hour until doubled
  2. Prepare garlic butter
    Mix melted butter, garlic, herbs, and salt
  3. Shape the bread
    Roll dough into a rectangle
    Brush generously with garlic butter
    Sprinkle cheese (if using)
    Cut into squares
    Stack pieces and place into a greased loaf pan
  4. Second rise
    Cover and let rise 20–30 minutes
  5. Bake
    Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
    Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden
  6. Finish
    Brush with extra garlic butter after baking
    ✨ Tips:
    Don’t skip second rise → makes it fluffy
    Add chili flakes for a spicy kick 🌶️
    Use fresh herbs for best flavor
    Serve warm for best pull-apart texture
