Slow Cooker Cubed Steak with Gravy
🧾 Ingredients:
4–6 cubed steaks
1 onion (sliced)
2 cups beef broth
1 packet onion soup mix
1 packet brown gravy mix
1 can (300 g) cream of mushroom soup
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Salt (optional, to taste)
2 tablespoons cornstarch + 2 tablespoons water (for thickening, optional)

Layer ingredients
Place sliced onions in the bottom of the slow cooker. Lay cubed steaks on top.
Make the gravy mix
In a bowl, whisk together beef broth, onion soup mix, gravy mix, cream of mushroom soup, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper.
Pour over steaks
Cover the meat evenly with the gravy mixture.
Cook low & slow
Cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the meat is tender.
Thicken gravy (optional)
Mix cornstarch and water, stir into the slow cooker, and cook an additional 15–20 minutes until thickened.
Serve
Serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles.
🍽️ Tips:
For extra flavor, lightly sear the steaks before adding to the slow cooker.
Add mushrooms or bell peppers for more texture.
This dish gets even better the next day!
