🛒 Ingredients:
4 large potatoes (Russet or any starchy type)
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
½ teaspoon black pepper
1–2 tablespoons cornstarch

Prep the potatoes:
Peel (optional) and cut into thin, even fries.
Soak (important!):
Place fries in cold water for 30–60 minutes.
This removes excess starch and helps crispiness.
Dry thoroughly:
Drain and pat fries completely dry with a towel.
Coat for crispiness:
Place fries in a bowl, sprinkle cornstarch and seasonings.
Toss well until lightly coated (this replaces oil for crisping).
Arrange:
Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Spread fries in a single layer—don’t overcrowd.
Bake:
Bake at 220°C (425°F) for 30–40 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Bake until golden and crispy.
🔥 Air Fryer Option:
Cook at 200°C (400°F) for 15–20 minutes, shaking halfway.

Cut fries evenly for uniform cooking
Use a wire rack on the tray if possible (air circulation = crispier)
Don’t skip drying—moisture = soggy fries
