4-Ingredient No-Knead Bread
📝 Ingredients
1½ cups warm water (about 370 ml)
2 tbsp dry yeast (10 g)
4 cups flour (about 500 g)
1 tsp salt
👩‍🍳 Instructions
Activate the yeast
In a large bowl, combine warm water and yeast
Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy
Mix the dough
Add flour and salt
Stir with a spoon or spatula until a sticky dough forms
(No kneading needed!)
First rise
Cover the bowl with a towel or plastic wrap
Let rise in a warm place for 1–2 hours, until doubled in size
Shape the dough
Lightly flour your hands and surface
Gently shape into a round loaf (don’t overwork it)
Second rise (optional but better)
Let the shaped dough rest for 20–30 minutes
Preheat oven
Heat oven to 220°C (425°F)
If you have a pot/Dutch oven, place it inside to preheat
Bake
Place dough on a baking tray or into the hot pot
Bake for 25–35 minutes, until golden brown
Cool before slicing
Let cool for at least 15 minutes before cutting
🔥 Tips for Best Results
Dough should be sticky—don’t add too much flour
For a crispy crust, place a small pan of water in the oven while baking
Using a covered pot (Dutch oven) gives bakery-style results
