Golden Ring Butter Cake
A rich, moist, classic butter cake baked in a ring (Bundt-style) pan — golden crust outside, soft and buttery inside. Perfect with tea or coffee ☕
🧾 Ingredients
1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
2 cups (400g) granulated sugar
4 large eggs, room temperature
3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup (240ml) whole milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Optional glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2–3 tablespoons milk or lemon juice
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Pan
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease and flour a 10–12 cup ring (Bundt) pan very well.
2️⃣ Cream Butter & Sugar
In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy (3–5 minutes).
3️⃣ Add Eggs
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Mix in vanilla extract.
4️⃣ Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
5️⃣ Mix Batter
Add dry ingredients to the butter mixture alternately with milk.
Start and end with flour.
Mix just until combined (don’t overmix).
6️⃣ Bake
Pour batter evenly into prepared pan.
Smooth the top.
Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
7️⃣ Cool
Let cake cool in pan for 10–15 minutes.
Carefully invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
🍯 Optional Glaze
Mix powdered sugar with milk or lemon juice until smooth.
Drizzle over cooled cake.
