1-inch fresh ginger root, sliced (or 1 tsp grated)
4–5 whole cloves
2 cups water
1–2 tsp honey (optional)
1 tsp lemon juice (optional)

Add water, ginger, and cloves to a small pot.
Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat and simmer for 10–15 minutes.
3️⃣ Strain
