🍝 Baked Cream Cheese Spaghetti
📝 Ingredients:
300 g (10–12 oz) spaghetti
1 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
300–400 g (10–14 oz) ground beef (or chicken/turkey)
1 jar (about 2 cups) tomato pasta sauce
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt & black pepper, to taste
🧀 Cream Layer:
200 g (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
🧀 Topping:
1 to 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
👩🍳 Instructions:
Cook spaghetti
Boil in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Make the meat sauce
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
Sauté onion until soft, then add garlic.
Add ground meat and cook until browned.
Stir in pasta sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Let simmer 5–10 minutes.
Prepare creamy mixture
In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, and Parmesan until smooth.
Combine with spaghetti
Toss the hot drained spaghetti with the cream cheese mixture until well coated.
Assemble
Spread half the spaghetti mixture in a greased baking dish.
Add a layer of meat sauce.
Top with remaining spaghetti.
Finish with the rest of the meat sauce.
Add cheese topping
Sprinkle mozzarella evenly over the top.
Bake
Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
Rest & serve
Let sit for 5–10 minutes before serving.
