🍝 Savory Meatballs and Noodles

🛒 Ingredients
Meatballs:
1 lb (450g) ground beef (or beef + pork mix)
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp milk
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Noodles:
12 oz (340g) egg noodles or spaghetti
Sauce:
2 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (14–15 oz) crushed tomatoes
2 tbsp tomato paste
1/2 cup beef broth
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp paprika
Salt & pepper to taste
Optional Finish:
1/2 cup heavy cream (for a creamy version)
Fresh parsley or basil
Extra Parmesan cheese
👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Make meatballs
    In a bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, milk, and seasonings.
    Mix gently and form into small meatballs.
  2. Cook meatballs
    Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
    Brown meatballs on all sides (about 6–8 minutes).
    Remove and set aside.
  3. Cook noodles
    Boil noodles in salted water until al dente.
    Drain and set aside.
  4. Make sauce
    In the same skillet, sauté onion until soft.
    Add garlic and cook briefly.
    Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, broth, and seasonings.
    Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Combine
    Return meatballs to the sauce.
    Cover and simmer for 10–15 minutes until cooked through.
    Stir in cream if using.
  6. Serve
    Toss noodles with sauce and meatballs or serve on top.
    Garnish with herbs and Parmesan.
