🧾 Ingredients
🍫 Chocolate Cake
3 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup oil
1 cup milk
1 cup cocoa powder
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
🥥 Coconut Filling
1 can (395g) sweetened condensed milk
1 cup coconut milk
1 cup shredded coconut
1 tbsp butter
🍫 Chocolate Syrup (for soaking)
1 cup milk
2 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp sugar
🍫 Chocolate Ganache
200g chocolate (semi-sweet or milk)
1/2 cup heavy cream
👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Bake the cake
    Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
    Beat eggs + sugar until light
    Add oil and milk
    Mix in cocoa powder
    Add flour, salt, then baking powder
    Pour into greased pan
    Bake 30–35 minutes (toothpick test)
  2. Make coconut filling
    In a saucepan, combine all filling ingredients
    Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly
    Cook until thick and creamy (like brigadeiro)
    Let cool slightly
  3. Prepare syrup
    Mix all ingredients and warm slightly (don’t boil)
  4. Assemble (the “molhadinho” magic 💦)
    Cut cake in half
    Soak bottom layer with syrup
    Spread coconut filling generously
    Add top layer
    Soak again with remaining syrup
  5. Add ganache
    Heat cream until hot (not boiling)
    Pour over chocolate and mix until smooth
    Pour over cake
