Baked Cream Cheese Spaghetti recipe
Ingredients (Serves 6)
12 oz spaghetti
1 lb ground beef (or Italian sausage)
1 jar (24 oz) marinara or pasta sauce
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup cottage cheese (or ricotta)
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 small onion, chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Cook the pasta:
Boil spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the meat sauce:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until soft.
Add ground beef and cook until browned; drain excess fat.
Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5–10 minutes.
Make the creamy mixture:
In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, sour cream, and cottage cheese until smooth.
Combine with spaghetti:
Toss the cooked spaghetti with the cream cheese mixture until well coated.
Assemble the casserole:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Spread half of the spaghetti mixture into a greased baking dish.
Add half of the meat sauce on top.
Repeat layers with remaining spaghetti and sauce.
Add cheese topping:
Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan evenly over the top.
Bake:
Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until hot and bubbly and the cheese is melted and slightly golden.
Serve:
Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
