Cabbage & Zucchini Savory Skillet
🧾 Ingredients
300 g zucchini, grated into small strips
250 g cabbage, finely chopped
¼ tsp salt (for marinating zucchini)
20 g green onion, finely chopped
1/6 tsp black pepper
1/5 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (or breadcrumbs)
1 egg
2–3 tablespoons oil (for frying)
👩🍳 Instructions
- Prepare the Zucchini
Place grated zucchini in a bowl.
Sprinkle with ¼ tsp salt and mix.
Let it sit for 10 minutes to release excess water.
Squeeze out as much liquid as possible using your hands or a clean cloth. - Mix the Vegetables
In a large bowl, combine:
squeezed zucchini
chopped cabbage
green onions
Add:
black pepper
garlic powder
chili powder
¼ tsp salt
Mix everything well. - Bind the Mixture
Add 1 egg and flour (or breadcrumbs).
Mix until it forms a slightly sticky mixture that holds together. - Cook
Option 1: Pan-Fried Patties (recommended)
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
Scoop portions and flatten into small patties.
Fry for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
Option 2: Skillet Hash
Add all mixture to the pan.
Press flat and cook like a pancake.
Flip and cook the other side until golden.

Squeezing the zucchini well is key for crispiness.
Add a little cheese (optional) for extra flavor.
Serve with yogurt, garlic sauce, or chili sauce.
