Homemade Artisan Bread (No-Knead Style)
🧾 Ingredients:
3 cups (375 g) all-purpose flour or bread flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp instant yeast (or 3/4 tsp active dry yeast)
1 1/2 cups (360 ml) warm water
👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Mix the Dough
    In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and yeast
    Add warm water and mix until a sticky dough forms
    No kneading needed—just mix until combined
  2. Let It Rise (Slow Fermentation)
    Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a towel
    Let it sit at room temperature for 12–18 hours
    Dough should double in size and look bubbly
  3. Shape the Dough
    Lightly flour your surface
    Gently turn out the dough (it will be sticky)
    Fold it over itself a few times and shape into a ball
  4. Second Rest
    Place dough on parchment paper
    Cover and let rest for 30–60 minutes
  5. Preheat Oven & Pot
    Place a heavy pot with lid (like a Dutch oven) inside
    Preheat oven to 230°C (450°F) for at least 20–30 minutes
  6. Bake
    Carefully place the dough (with parchment) into the hot pot
    Cover and bake for 30 minutes
    Remove lid and bake another 10–15 minutes until golden brown
  7. Cool
    Let bread cool on a rack for at least 20 minutes before slicing
    ✨ Tips for Perfect Artisan Bread:
    Use a covered pot to trap steam → creates crispy crust
    Don’t skip long rise → develops deep flavor
    Dough should be sticky, not dry
    Add herbs, garlic, olives, or cheese for variations
