May Long Weekend Comfort Casserole
Ingredients
5 large potatoes, sliced
1 onion, sliced
2 cups shredded cheese
1 cup heavy cream or milk
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
Grease a baking dish with butter or oil.
Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the dish. Add half of the onions, salt, pepper, and some cheese.
Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, onions, and cheese.
Pour the cream or milk evenly over everything.
Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake another 20–25 minutes until golden, bubbly, and tender.
Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
