Cozy Slow Cooker Rice Pudding
Creamy, comforting, and gently spiced — this old-fashioned rice pudding cooks low and slow until perfectly tender and rich. Your kitchen will smell amazing while it simmers 🤍
🛒 Ingredients (Serves 6)
¾ cup uncooked white rice (short or medium grain works best)
3 cups whole milk
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter
½ cup raisins (optional)
👩‍🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Slow Cooker
Lightly grease the inside with butter or non-stick spray.
2️⃣ Add Ingredients
Add rice, milk, cream, sugar, cinnamon, salt, and butter. Stir gently to combine.
3️⃣ Cook Low & Slow
Cook on LOW for 2½–3 hours, stirring every 45–60 minutes if possible.
Rice should be tender and mixture thick and creamy.
(If your slow cooker runs hot, check around 2 hours.)
4️⃣ Finish
Stir in vanilla and raisins (if using).
Let sit uncovered for 10–15 minutes to thicken further.
🍨 Serve
Warm with extra cinnamon on top
Chilled for a thicker texture
With a drizzle of honey or caramel
💡 Tips for Extra Creaminess
Stir in ¼ cup sweetened condensed milk at the end.
For richer pudding, replace 1 cup milk with evaporated milk.
If it thickens too much, stir in a splash of warm milk before serving.
