Slow Cooker Angel Chicken
Creamy, comforting, and perfect over rice, mashed potatoes, or angel hair pasta.
Yields: 4–6 servings
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 4–6 hours (low)
🛒 Ingredients
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
1 packet (1 oz) Italian dressing seasoning mix
1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
½ cup chicken broth
½ cup dry white cooking wine (or additional broth)
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
12 ounces angel hair pasta (for serving)
Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
👩‍🍳 Instructions
Layer the chicken:
Place chicken in the bottom of the slow cooker.
Make the sauce:
In a bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, Italian seasoning mix, chicken broth, and wine until combined.
Add to slow cooker:
Pour mixture over chicken.
Add butter slices and cubed cream cheese on top.
Cook:
Cover and cook on LOW for 4–6 hours (or HIGH for 2½–3 hours) until chicken is tender.
Stir & shred:
Once done, stir sauce until smooth and creamy. Shred chicken slightly or leave whole.
Cook pasta:
Prepare angel hair pasta according to package directions. Drain.
Serve:
Spoon creamy chicken over warm pasta. Garnish with parsley if desired.
