Creamy White Chocolate Mousse
Light, silky, and luxuriously smooth — this elegant dessert is surprisingly easy to make and perfect for special occasions.
🛒 Ingredients (Serves 4–6)
8 oz (225g) white chocolate, chopped
1 cup heavy whipping cream (divided)
2 large egg whites
2 tbsp sugar
½ tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Optional toppings:
Fresh berries
White chocolate shavings
Whipped cream
👩‍🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Melt the White Chocolate
Place chopped white chocolate in a heatproof bowl.
Heat ½ cup heavy cream until just steaming (do not boil).
Pour over chocolate and let sit 1–2 minutes.
Stir until completely smooth.
Let cool to room temperature (but not firm).
2️⃣ Whip the Cream
In a separate bowl, whip remaining ½ cup heavy cream to soft peaks.
Refrigerate until ready to use.
3️⃣ Whip the Egg Whites
In a clean bowl, beat egg whites with a pinch of salt until soft peaks form.
Gradually add sugar and beat until glossy stiff peaks form.
4️⃣ Fold Together
Gently fold whipped cream into the cooled white chocolate mixture.
Then carefully fold in whipped egg whites in two additions.
Mix gently to keep mousse light and airy.
5️⃣ Chill
Spoon into serving glasses.
Refrigerate at least 2–3 hours until set.
🍓 Serve & Garnish
Top with:
Fresh raspberries or strawberries
White chocolate curls
A dollop of whipped cream
