Chocolate Brownie Cake
🧾 Ingredients:
1 cup (200 g) sugar
½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter
1 cup (180 g) dark chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¾ cup (95 g) all-purpose flour
¼ cup (25 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking powder
👩🍳 Instructions:
Preheat oven
Set to 175°C (350°F). Grease and line an 8-inch (20 cm) cake pan.
Melt chocolate & butter
In a heatproof bowl, melt butter and chocolate together (microwave in short bursts or over a double boiler). Stir until smooth.
Add sugar
Mix in the sugar while the mixture is still warm.
Add eggs & vanilla
Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract. The batter will become glossy.
Mix dry ingredients
In another bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
Combine
Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined (don’t overmix).
Bake
Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25–30 minutes.
The center should be slightly soft for that fudgy texture.
Cool & serve
Let cool before slicing. Serve as is or dust with powdered sugar.
